How to make a citizen's arrest in TX
See Tx Code Crim Procedure 14.01(a). Any person who sees a FELONY being commiitted within his view is authorized to make an arrest. You cannot make a Citizens arrest for a misdemeanor.
BUT BE DAMNED SURE YOU ARE RIGHT. A false arrest civil action can be VERY expensive.
