Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
City Employee with Bi-Polar
I was married to a Lieutenant in the fire department who was diagnosed with Bi-Polar disorder 4 years ago. I was told to never tell anyone by him. We have since divorced. There was a situation at a fire recently where he acted oddly according to his co-workers. They described his behavior that I had witnessed when we were married. I still did not tell anyone he has Bi-Polar. Am I in trouble legally if someone is hurt during a fire if he causes it because his Bi-Polar kicks in again?

Your criminal liability to report extends only to ongoing or future child abuse and felonies which you have personally witnessed.
