Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
class c misdemeanor assault charges
i recently being convicted of class c assault charges. will this affect my citizenship status. i currently posses a green card. also what impact will this have on my record in future. please give me suggestions.

A Class C conviction will not likely affect your immigration status as federal immigration statutes stand now. The problem is predicting how these statutes will change to affect previous conduct in the future. Unlike almost all laws, immigration laws that apply ex-post facto have been held to be constitutional. I don't believe that you have much to worry about, but keep your boxing gloves at home.
