Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I have a class A misdemeanor. I was 19, drinking and lied about my year of birth. I was convicted of failure to ID a fugitive and giving false information to a police officer. I served 10 days in the county jail and was given a choice when I finally saw a judge of signing an admission of guilt and going home or waiting for another trial date and a lawyer. I signed and was given time served and went home that day. This has affected my employment for 3 years. Is there any way to fix this situation?

If you plead guilty and received jail time for these two offenses, then they are convictions that will stay on your record for the rest of your life. You cannot get them expunged nor can you seal them. You could apply for a pardon and then would be eligible to expunge them, but pardons are hard to come by and you need to have a compelling reason why the offenses should be forgiven.
