Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Class A Misdemeanor
Lets say something was stolen worth about a thousand dollars. The person returned the stolen item after being told that if this person did so, he/she would not be prosicuted. Now this person has a detective wanting to talk to them about the offense. Should this person talk to the detective without a lawyer, and what are the consequences of a class a misdemeanor?

Re: Class A Misdemeanor
One should NEVER speak with law enforcement as a criminal suspect without having first obtained legal advice.
The job of law enforcement is to put people in jail.
You have a 5th Amendment right to maintain silence. Exercise it.
