If you have been charged with a class A misdemeanour for furnishing alcohol to a minor what is the punishment and under what law can you get it reduced.

In Texas, a class A misdemeanor is punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a $4,000 fine. Depending on the facts of the case, other than a dismissal the lowest charge would be class C disorderly conduct.
