Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

clearing my name

my brother basically stole my identity and gave my info (name, ss#, etc,) to the police, now i am listed as an alias. when my background is pulled, all of his charges show on my record as an alias. how do i get his charges off of my record? he is currently in prison for some serious charges. i need this fixed because i cannot get a job because of charges i did not commit.

You have an uphill battle, but a good place to start is to have a police clearance letter. You can get your fingerprints taken, and they will run a check and give you a certified clearance that the references to you are not you. (costs run about $12). Send an explanatory letter and the clearance to every outlet you can find that lists you with your brother. I would also include it with all job applications. Good luck.
