How do I collect a bad check written on a business to a business? Is it the same process of going through the District Attorney office like a personal check?

Yes, you can use the District Attorney's Hot Check division in certain circumstances. The Clerk at the window should be able to provide you limited guidance when you attempt to file the check for collection. However, you also qualify as what is known as a "Holder in Due Course" and therefore should be able to obtain a judgment for the face amount of the check. Whether the judgment can be collected is a different question though. If I can be of assistance, don't hesitate to call.
