Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Is this common practice?
I gave a statement to the police (witnessed, signed, etc) pertaining to a felony another person committed. Now the defense attorney wants me to call him and repeat my statement over the phone even though he has it in the file and has read it. Is this common or is it a trick of some sort?

The defense lawyer is simply doing his job. If you want to talk with him, then talk. If you don't want to talk with him, then don't.
