Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
I am the complaintant in a misdeamor case filed against my neighbor for a dog attack in which I was not bitten-but received minor injuiries as a result of protecting myself from being bitten. I would like to know would the charges be dropped if I do not appear at court? And are there repercussion for me not appering in court?

Yes, the charges would probably be dismissed. Technically, they could pick you up if you fail to appear, but only if they personally served you with a subpoena. If you got served by regular mail, they will probably not do anything.
