Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
this is little complicated
in January 2009, i had to pay tuition to my university (MSU). i had half of $3200, so i ask for help to one of my friend (Mr. X). with his agreement he paid my tuition in full online on 1-21-2009 from his computer and from his apartment. within a week i paid him the amount about half of $3200 in cash. then we had dispute on some another issue in February 2009. he claimed in his bank that he never initiated that transaction so got money back in February 2009. being unaware of the fact i paid him rest of the money as cash in summer 2009. so i thought its all clear now. but recently on November 9 2010 i learned form MSU that my spring 2010 tuition was never paid. now i owe MSU $ 3200 and Mr. X just walked away with my money. i don't know where Mr. X is right now and I don't have any physical proof that can prove i paid him because i paid in cash.
what can be done in this case because i am struck with this. even if i find out Mr. X's location and talk to him he is not gonna pay me my money. (though i haven't talk to him but i know for sure)

There are online sources that will find Mr. X for you.
Sue him for the money he got that he kept.
Your PROOF that he got the money is your testimony in court; your oral testimony is good evidence. He will, however, probably lie about it.
