Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Constable came to my location and tried to hand deliver paper work in regards to an application for a protective order. Do I have the right to refuse this? What is a application for a protective order?

No, you can't refuse service. A process server (or cnstable) can walk up to you and touch you with papers (and let them fall to the ground) and that would constitute valid service.

An application for a protective order alleges that you have committed violent acts and that somebody needs protection from you. The application is usually granted.
