controlled substance

what needs to be done if i am arrested with less than a gram of controlled substance,this is my first offense.please advise

I recommend hiring an attorney. He or she will be able to help you. They will be able to determine if the search was good. They will also be able to negotiate a plea bargain for you. You would like to think that you will get the same offer without an attorney. However, in my experience having an attorney will often get a better deal.
