You have been convicted of a crime if you have plead guilty or no contest to a crime. You have also bee convicted of a crime if you were found guilty by a jury or judge. You have not been convicted if you received deferred probation and succesful completed the probation. You also have not been convicted if you receive pre-trial diversion. I hope that this helps.
