Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Getting a copy of my records
I had a gun in my trunk, which was found during a search on trade school campus. Although they told me this was a felony, I only served community service. My fiance points out to me that typicaly you serve time in jail for a felony... so I wanted to see how I can find out if I actually have a felony on my record or not.

Re: Getting a copy of my records
Go to the County where you were convicted and look up your file through either the County or District Clerk.
You need to get a copy of your judgment and it will state what category of offense you were charged with.
