Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
court appearance requested
not been served. cooperated with detective told i thought was bad check and i cashed it anyway. detective wanted to know what i knew about person who wrote check and i complied. now have court date. do i go? what should i do?

I don't know what this means, that you have been REQUESTED to appear in court. It is clear, however, that you should not go alone -- get a lawyer first, so that there are no surprises.

If you have been subpoenaed to court, you must attend. It is crime to ignore a court summons.
