court appt lawyer

my son is in jail on felony drug charge.He was appt a lawyer on May 15.Is there a timeline for his lawyer to see him face to face?he has not visited i called his office today and they said he might make it next week.

his attorney should see him within 15 days in my opinion. I would try contacting this attorney and see what is going on. If the attorney does not respond to you, i would consider writing a letter to the judge and the State Bar letting them know that this lawyer has not visited his client in months since being appointed.

I'm sorry to hear that. Try calling the court and complaining. The attorney should have visited the client within a few days of being appointed.
