Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
A co-worker of mine is visiting the U.S. for work and was arrested for assualting a police officer in Dallas, TX. Can he be bailed out and sent back to Scotland where he is a citizen?

He is unlikely to get bond since possibility of flight is high. Even if he gets bond, the court will likely require the co-worker to surrender their passport. If convicted of the felony, he could be deported and denied future entry to the US.
