Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Can criminal charges be pressed?

Two years ago my sister was put in state jail due to a drug sentence. I cleaned her hous. It was destroyed by her boyfriend and other drug addicts. I lived 120 miles away so it took several weekends. It had dirty needles, clothes, pictures and broken bottles littering the house and yard. The house stayed empty for months. She asked me,by letter to sell it and devide the money amoungst myself,my son and her children. My son wanted to move into the house. He started working on it with her son. My son is 22 and her son is 17 years old so I decided that they may need my assistance and overseeing. I moved 120 miles to take care of the boys. We lived in the house for approximately 1 year. I moved out December of 2006 back with my girlfriend. I spent several weekends cleaning the yard and moving my son out of the house. my sister was released from state jail. She became angry because the cabinets were removed and the water heater was missing. She heard these were sold by me. The house is in better condition than when she went to jail. She is now trying to have here ex-husband press criminal charges against me for stealing from this house. I was given a power attorney by her. Can criminal charges be pressed?
