Can I hire an attorney to represent my brother, whom has been locked up for 17 years for a crime that he did not commit? If so, please refer.

Re: Criminal Defense
You are looking for a lawyer experienced in investigating writs of habeas corpus. I would look on the Internet and start making some phone calls. Good luck.

Hello there,
Yes, you can hire an attorney to represent him. But, there is going to have to be some new evidence that was not available at trial to help him get a new trial. It will have to be evidence that shows actual innocence.
