Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
criminal law in texas
i have an important question. my wx-husband is charged in texas for about 3 or 4 aggravated assaults, and unlawful possesion of a firearm by a felon. i am just wondering if he will be sentenced to life or not. he is my ex-husband for a reason. i do not think i have anything to worry about. i do believe he is in jail or prison for a while. what would the sentence round about for carrying a firearm in texas by a felon?????????

It is impossible to speculate on what the sentence would be -- as cases are so individual. You should contact the ADA office of the counties which prosecuted him, as well as the parole board, and advise each that you are in fear of him, and want to be notified if he is up for release.
