Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
criminal mischief
My son's vehicle was ''keyed'' from bumper to bumper on both sides and hood. Estimate is $2100. Witness saw the girl around the vehicle around 2 a.m. (same time my son received numerous phone calls and hateful text messages from this girl because he broke off their relationship). Filed report with Harris County Constable but was told DA will not take it because witness did not actually see the girl committing the act. Is there any other recourse??

A civil suit could be filed against the girl for damages.
