Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Criminal Record
I had a armed robbery case at the age of 17 from 1975 I have been turned down for countless jobs due to my criminal history. i have not had in trouble with the law since then. is there any way to get this removed or is there any thing i can do about this?
Thank You.

Re: Criminal Record
I am assuming you were convicted in Texas. Unfortunately, the only way to remove the record of the conviction would be to obtain a pardon from the governor. Technically, obtaining a writ of habeus corpus could also achieve the desired result, but after so much time that would be extremely unlikely.
The best approach for you would be to focus on your positive activities in the 30+ years since the conviction when applying for jobs. Good luck.
