Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Criminal Record
I was arrested for a bad check and some traffic violations. I plead not guilty and the judge sent me home time served. It was a Class C misdeamenor. Is this on my criminal record as a conviction. And will this stop me from being admitted to the bar after I finish law school

Re: Criminal Record
Bad checks are classified as theft. Time served is a conviction. It is a crime of moral turpitude and may be considered in matters of jury selection, admission to the bar and other matters.
