Is there anyway to get rid of something criminal on your record like an assault if the victim has sworn that they made a false statement?

If there is a conviction you could try to overturn it through motion for new trial, appeal or bill of review. The only other way is to get a pardon. Once the conviction has been overturned, you need to hire an attorney to have it expunged.
