Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

criminal tresspass mb

i went through a ''do not enter'' door at dfw airport and was arrested. my court date is in dallas. i live in calif. is there any way to handle this by mail? or any known defense to have the charges dropped. need to know how to proceed. thanks!!

This will not go away easily but you should be OK once all is said and done if you can show you are not a terrorist.

You need a lawyer in Dallas. Let me know if you need a referral there. If you are being charged with a misdemeanor your presence in court in

Dallas might not be required but a lawyer is absolutely a must. There are no criminal appearances by mail. This is a serious matter.

If this is being charged as a class B misdemeanor, and being heard in County Court At Law, it MIGHT be possible to handle it without coming to Dallas. You will certainly need a lawyer prior to the case being filed, however, in order to try to deflect the prosecution prior to a court date being set.
