Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My daughter (20 yr old) was pulled over for speeding yesterday. The officer smelled a faint odor of marijuana and searched the car and found a small amount (less than $10 worth) in her purse. She was taken to the station and offered a deal to name the person she got it from and set a bye for them. This worries me greatly. I don't want her to have a record, but I also am afraid something could go wrong and she could get hurt. What should she do?

She needs to hire a lawyer and stop talking to the police.
And tell her I said she's stupid for having marijuana in her possession.
