Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
If a defendant of capital murder confess beecause the actual killer threatens parents life can the case be dismissed. there is no evidence with the case.

It is not likely that the case would be dismissed because the defendant says that he only confessed out of fear for his parents' lives. The person will need a lawyer and an investigator to conduct extensive work to support the claim. (Moreover, there is always evidence related to a crime such as capital murder so perhaps an evaluation of it will support the claim of false confession and point law enforcement to the real killer.)
