I have a misdemeanor and am on deferred adjudication. I am moving to South Dakota and I was wondering of the case would transfer or be dropped? I have 8 months of community supervision left

Re: deferred adjudication
You will have to get permission from your probation officer and apply to the probation in the area you are planning to move and see if they will accept you. However, most of the time you cannot transfer out of state until you probation is complete. You might want to talk to an attorney about whether you are eligible to early terminate the probation depending on how long you have served thus far and what offense you are serving on probation.
