Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
deferred ajudification
I received deferred ajudification and did the 4 year probation. I want to know is this a conviction? How long does this stay on my record? Can this be removed?

Re: deferred ajudification
It is NOT a conviction if you successfully completed the supervision. It should be recorded as a dismissal of all charges. It does not, however, remove records of the arrest and of the dismissal of charges based upon deferred adjudication. That requires an expunction, and is not available in all cases. An attorney can review your file, and advise you what your chances are of getting the case expunged. TCL
