Re: deferred jurification

There are two different procedures.

One is deferred adjudication, where you enter a plea and the judge accepts the plea, finds there is enough evidence to find you guilty but doesn't find you guilty. He defers the adjudication of your guilt. You are on probation for a period of time, which if completed successfully, results in a dismissal.

The second is different, it is deferring (postponing) the disposition of the case. This is deferred disposition. Normally, the entire case is set aside or abated for a period of time. If the defendant follows the requirements, then the entire case is dismissed, without any court action.
