deffered adjudication

I was 18 when i commited a crime

of theft and i do regret it. I served my 4 yr probation/def. adj.. and paid all the restituion w/fees over $15,000. Im 25 and long since changed and never committed another crime. how can i get it off my record.

There are two ways. The easy way is to hire a lawyer to file petition for non-disclosure. This will get the offense off of most public records, such as the ones that are used for criminal backround checks by most employers. It will not remove the offense from the court records, or the DA or police records or the records of certain entities, such as hospitals or certain state agencies.

The other option is to apply for a pardon. If the pardon is granted, then you can petition to have the record expunged. Enpunction removes all traces of the offense.
