Depositions for Witnesses in a MurderTrial

My son is presently in Texas and needs to come home soon. He has been subpoenaed to be a witness in a murder trial in Texas of a friend. Is it possible to give a deposition of his statement for this trial? Who should we contact in Texas for permission?

Its highly unlikely that they will agree to a deposition for a trial that serious. You need to inquire with whom ever sent you the subpoena. It would have to be either the prosecution or the defense. Their names and contact information has to be on paperwork. If you run into trouble you can try calling the court where the case is pending. Good luck.
