Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Disposition Info. - not accepted - d. a.
My adult child was arrested for drug possession (third degree felony) and is free on bail. An online judicial record search gives this info on his case: No cause number assigned. Current status - disposed. Disposition Info. - not accepted - d. a. What does this mean?

It sounds like the charges were rejected by the District Attorney when the police agency submitted them. If this is the case, then the bond is discharged and your son may no longer be obligated on the bond. I would suggest checking with the bail bonding company if your son used a surety. If the charges were in fact rejected, then your son would be eligible to have his arrest record expunged. You should consult with a qualified criminal attorney on whether your son's record is expungeable.
