If a domestic violence arrest happens, and it turns out the woman was prostituting, can police use a number from their phone to persue that person for charges

A phone number does not prove a crime, although they could launch an investigation with the information they find. However, there is a lot of controversy right now about cops looking in people's phones without permission and without a warrant.
