How far back can a prosecution go a previous domestic violence conviction in the state of Texas? Can a previous conviction several years back enter into a court of law, for a recent offence?

In Texas, prior offenses may be used to enhance the punishment of a new offense, particularly if the person has a prior assault based on family violence. You need to talk with a good criminal lawyer in your area, if you or someone you know is facing new allegations of a criminal offense.
