Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

drug position

son is on probation for drug positon. told to do 40 hr comm service. Didn't get completed in timely manner. Probation officer sending for 3 day in county jail is this normal or should I suspect something else. Son says all drug test he has taken he passed. Concerned parent he was also 17 when the orginal fact happened.

It sounds like his probation is being modified based on his failure to do the community service as specified. As a result, the probation officer is recommending 3 days in jail and not revoking his probation. Judges differ on what they do if a person does not fulfill the conditions of his probation.
