what happens when you don't appear for your scheduled court date?

Generally, an arrest warrant will be issued for you. If you are out on bond, the DA will request a bond forfieture and then the bonding company may potentially loose thier bond money. Additionally, not showing up (depending upon extingent circumstances) may hurt your ability to negoitate a good resolution to your case.
