Re: Dwi

DWI 2nd is a Class A Misdemeanor. It carries a fine not to exceed $4000, and jail time of no less than 72 hours and not more than one year. Under community supervision, service hours of 80-200 hours is required.

In order to be released from jail on bond, if she owns a car, she will be required to install a deep lung device on her car as a condition of release.

She is facing license suspension of 180 days to 2 years.

Who is going to care for the children? Will she lose them? Is she interested in rehab instead? The long-term consequences may surpass the immediate costs of an attorney. Does she even know if the 2nd offense is properly charged as an enhancement?
