Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

DWI Four Years Ago

So on the fourth of July 2005 I was 18 and got into a one car accident. The police came, I was arrested for DWI, and sentenced to probation. It is now 2009 and I have not repeated my mistake and try to use this story to influence the decisions of friends who are in the position to have to learn this lesson the hard way. It still bothers me that I've done something like this and it stings to have such a thing on my record. I just graduated from college and am now seeking employment. My question is this: I know that employers will be looking at my criminal background and see this conviction, will most hold it against me still? Also is there anyway to get a this expunged, sealed, pardoned, etc...? I have heard this is hard to do with DWIs, especially in Texas.
