Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
Employee Theft
I work for Sallys Beauty Supply and my manager did a ''bag search'' and found items that i have stolen...mostly make up, less than $50. She made me write a statement, and tomorrow she wants me to go in and talk to loss prevention. Are they going to arrest me?

Maybe, maybe not. They may not even involve the police. To give you an idea of what you are looking at, theft less than $50 is a Class C Misdemeanor. It is in the same ballpark as a traffic ticket. A police officer could either arrest you or issue you a citation. If convicted, you would face a max punishment of a $500 fine, no jail time.

Possibily. You might want to consult with a lawyer before talking with loss prevention.
