Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
employee theft/embezelment
I have recently traced over 50,000 in stolen cash that an employee has stolen from our company. I have contacted local police but they say they do not have the time or manpower to investigate. The company was an auto auction so we are also dealing with vehicles and titles...does the amount or the fact that it deals with automobiles make this a federal investigation?
I have confronted the employee and he just says he doesn't know...
What is my next step?
