Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Employer hiring restrictions while on felony probation

Have been on probation for felony DUI for 2 out of 6 yrs and keep getting denied jobs for which I am more than adequately qualified for. I understand and realize this is according to each individual employer's discrepancy. How long does it take to earn the privilege of getting hired or do I have to complete my probation? I know there are some occupations that I may never be able to work in again. I was a social worker and do miss working as a very productive member of the community.

Re: Employer hiring restrictions while on felony probation

Am not sure what you mean when you ask how long it takes to get hired. Felony probation indicates a conviction, and it will never go away. It is one of the consequences. You will just have to keep trying until you find an employer who believes you have changed; or become self-employed.
