Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
My ex employer issued a payroll check to me. Four days later they said they messed up and wants the check back. I already used it for christmas and rent. Now they are threating to press theft charges on me for the amount of check. Are they allowed to do this?

No, they can't file theft charges against you. Ignore their threats.
