Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas
employment disclosure
My brother received a NGRI order from Texas in 2003. Does this create a criminal record? Must he disclose during employment interview?

Re: employment disclosure
Your brother's record will show an arrest, but not a conviction. He was found not guilty. The insanity part might make a prospective employer nervous however. If he is asked if he has been convicted, the answer is no. He may want to consult with an attorney to see if his arrest record can be cleared.
