This question is far too general to provide a good answer to. If one is on probation and violates, once can be revoked and a sentence of incarceration (jail or prison - whichever is applicable) can be assessed (and if one is on deferred, one can get from the minimum to the maximum for that offense while if on straight, one can only get up to the number of years of probation one is on); the probation can be amended so that conditions are added including jail time, community services hours, rehab, counseling, more reporting, interlock, drug testing, etc.; the time on probation can be extended; or nothing might happen except a butt-chewing.

It depends on the type of crime, type of violation, efforts & success while on probation, etc.
