eshusband in prison, case pending another county

My children and I want to know, when my exhusband gets let out of prison this month in tx, but has another case pending in corpus christi, Is he going to be allowed to just run free till somebody finds him?

If the Corpus charge is serious, it is likely that that jurisdiction has filed a detainer or "hold" against your husband in his current place of confinement. That means when he is released from prison he will be released to the custody of Corpus law enforcement. If there is no hold, then he will be released without strings and it will up to Corpus to catch him and take him into custody off the street. Seldom done. Usually there will be a hold, or otherwise the jurisdiction {Corpus} isn't that interested. Of course there will probably be a local warrant out in Corpus, so it would be wise for your husband to avoid that location forever.
