Legal Question in Criminal Law in Texas

Evading arest

Hi, I have a friend in Texas who was given 99years for taking off from an unmarked police car. They also said he used his truck as a deadly weapon and this is not true as the officer testified only some traffic was present and no one was hurt or had to move out of the way. My question is the officer that testified chased my friend from another state? Was it legal for the officer from another state to testify in Texas?

Thank you,

Allison

Re: Evading arest

It was legal for him to testify because he was chasing him into the other state.

The officer was in hot pursuit.
