Re: Evading arrest
It is most likely a state jail felony. So facing from 190 days to 2 years in state jail and a fine up to $10,000. State jail is day for day. So would have to do whole amount. However, a state jail felony can be punished as a class A misdemeanor (12.44(a)) which means up to 1 year in county jail but get 2 for 1 credit. S0 only have to do half of time (ex. 1 year then have to do 6 months). Under certain circumstances, evading arrest with a vehilce can be a 2nd or 3rd degree felony.
