Is all evidence and information on a criminal case public information? For example: motion to discovery, or motion to supress evidence?

Generally, most information is public. You can go down to the county or district clerk's office and ask to see the court file on a certain case. In that file should be copies of anything filed in the case. If things have been filed under seal or if the case has been sealed or expunged, that may prevent you from obtaining information.

I agree with Mr. Tuthill and would add that you will not be able to see the evidence in a case unless the case has been tried and the evidence was offered at trial. Then, the evidence clerk or court reporter will have custody of it. Whether they will permit a non-lawyer to view the evidence is unknown. You cannot see evidence that is being held in the property room, etc. before a case is tried.
